BPG Has Something For Everybody
Berkeley Patients Group’s foundation: its people. Since its establishment 17 years ago this October, BPG has provided safe, affordable medicine for its patients—keeping founder Jim McClelland’s vision alive and strong as we stand on the potential horizon of California’s legalization. BPG is referred to as a model for safe patient access for lawmakers, a theme that runs consistent from the top down. Every employee shares the original vision of BPG and patients don’t ever feel rushed when making decisions about their medicine. Every staff member is happy to answer questions and maintain BPG service standards. In October, the staff is excited to offer door buster deals to celebrate their anniversary.
The vibe of BPG is welcoming, the décor is modern yet warm with staff at every turn looking to help patients and direct them to quality medicine. In order to make the patient experience as comfortable as possible, there are two lines: regular service and express lines for patients who have either pre-ordered or know exactly what they want. For patients soaking in the menu, budtenders are happy to let patients smell, view and occasionally touch as many strains as desired. For the unseen risks, patients can have confidence in legitimate test results provided by CW Analytics. “BPG has been serving our community the best way we know how, and that’s by providing affordable quality medicine that’s tested to the highest standards in America,” explained Victor Pinho, Director of BPG. Monthly and daily deals constantly rotate available edibles, flower and concentrates. There is onsite parking and the building is ADA accessible as well.
The expert buyers at BPG have done phenomenal work in bringing forward the finest medicine available, and the menu is mindful to patient tastes and budgets. You can often find less expensive versions of top shelf strains with minimal difference in quality. There is always something in stock for every budget and if you hunt properly, you can find top shelf THC content without shopping exclusively in that bracket. An eighth will not exceed $60 for top shelf, and select strains can be bought as low as $15. Some outstanding flowers include Uzbeki x Gorilla Glue, All-Star Dutch Treat and Sun Grown Pineapple Kush. In addition to flower, BPG hosts a wide array of concentrates like Empress Extracts, Fresh Off the Bud and Holy Water. A shop favorite edible is House of Jane’s Bottled Gourmet Teas. BPG is also known for extremely healthy clone varieties, and is a great shop for someone digging for quality genetics.
“It’s pretty incredible that we have both patients and patient-employees that have been with us a bulk of 17 years. I think it’s pretty magnificent that we’re still here, we’re so lucky to be here, and to have the city of Berkeley supporting us and a community standing behind us.” -Victor Pinho, BPG Director
